英國私立學校考察之旅第二站—奧登漢姆學校
由英國大使館文化教育處組織為期一周的英國私立學校考察之旅11月29日來到第二站——奧登漢姆學校。
11月29日，英國大使館文化教育處與英國校長聯(lián)合會（HMC）在奧登漢姆學校舉辦了中英校長論壇。論壇結(jié)束后學校安排在校學習的中國學生代表帶領中國校長們進行了參觀。校長們一邊參觀，一邊與學生們溝通，在外的獨立生活使他們成長了很多，有位同學介紹到他在國內(nèi)學習不好，出來學習后不希望浪費父母的心意好好學習，獲得了英國數(shù)學奧賽的金獎。
Aldenham School簡介
Aldenham is a small but vibrant community where pupils and staff enjoy their studies.Founded as a traditional boarding school in 1597,Aldenham today offers both Day,Boarding and Flexi-Boarding options for girls and boys.Still on the same original glorious site surrounded by green fields,within the M25 and yet only 30 minutes from central London,Aldenham is a small caring school.Boys and girls can further develop their skills or explore something new through the extensive activities programme which includes rock climbing,CCF,sailing and dance.High priority is placed on pastoral care,guidance and support within the Houses to ensure each pupil flourishes and realises his or her academic and personal potential.The Sixth Form students enjoy their own space in the modern Sixth Form Centre so that they can concentrate on their studies in comfortable surroundings away from the hustle and bustle of the rest of the School.Under Mr Fowler’s guidance the school prepares today’s pupils for tomorrow’s world,giving them a chance to shape their future through a caring,supportive community based on first-class teaching and a focus on the inpidual.
